Affiliate Disclosure

I built this site because I couldn’t stop redoing my own powder room, and eventually couldn’t stop helping other people redo theirs. Some of the products I link to are affiliate links — Amazon, and a handful of retailers I actually buy from. If you click through and buy something, I may earn a small commission. It doesn’t change the price you pay, and it doesn’t change what I recommend.

Beyond Amazon, I turn down affiliate programs for products I wouldn’t use myself, and I say so in the post when something has a real downside, commission or not. If I haven’t personally tested a product, I’ll tell you that too.

Where you’ll see this

On any post with affiliate links, a short version of this shows up once, near the top, right after the intro and before the first product mention. Individual product blocks may repeat a shorter version of the same disclosure. I don’t bury it in the footer or on a page you’d never think to visit — that’s both an FTC requirement and, honestly, just a matter of not being weird about it.

If I earn a commission, a fee, a free product, or anything else of value tied to a recommendation, that’s what the FTC calls a “material connection” — and I disclose it, every time, not just once somewhere on the site. Right now that’s Amazon and a handful of retailer programs. If that ever expands, this page and the per-post disclosures update with it.

I link to specific products, not just categories, and I only do that for things I’d actually put in my own powder room — or, when I haven’t personally tested something, I say so plainly rather than imply hands-on experience I don’t have. A product with a real downside gets that downside stated, whether or not it happens to be an affiliate link. Commission doesn’t buy a better review here.
